The Draft 30-Year Vision for the Vancouver campus is here!

Over the past year, we explored what’s important for the future of the campus and how land use planning can help to get us there. The result is a Draft 30-Year Vision that outlines how the physical campus will grow and change over the next 30 years.

The Draft Vision is available for community review. We heard feedback from the community through an online survey and numerous engagement events, including in-depth workshops, between January 17 and February 7, 2023.

The next step is to analyze and consider community feedback and then update the Draft 30-Year Vision before submitting to the UBC Board of Governors for their consideration.

The university is also sought community input on updates to the Housing Action Plan (HAP) and Land Use Plan (LUP). The HAP outlines how UBC uses its land and financial resources to improve housing choice and affordability for its community, and the LUP contains the policies needed to realize the goals of the 30-Year Vision.

You can review the draft HAP and LUP documents in detail with the links below.
